I think my current obsession with word games is here to stay; at least for sometime in the near future. I simply can't seem to stop obsessing about what word I can spell on my next move. It's all about Words with friends (WWF) and Letterplex on my phone.
I am a bit surprised that the novelty factor hasn't worn off as yet. Today, I squandered away an 'S' and which cost me nearly 30 points. Instead of WASTERS, I had to settle for WATERS. There are even times when I think I am playing Letterplex, when I am actually scrambling to spell the longest word in WWF. Sadly, I haven't been able to impress my opponents with my culinary words, although I did spell MACHE once. But that's more of an exception.
I love Letterplex. You spell FLINCHING and your opponent spells UNFLINCHING. Damn it..why didn't I think of that. I wonder how I have stuck this long. It's probably because I can go back and forth between Letterplex and WWF which keeps me from getting bored. And best of all, I can play any number of games and keep the momentum going. I have tried downloading other word games, but they are all the same; you need to keep making the maximum number of words using an array of letters. It gets boring after a while. I am yet to come across something as creative as Letterplex and Scrabble. Until I find something else, I'll stick with these two for now.
